====== Assign Task ======

===== Overview =====

Assign Task in SarasX Mobile App allows task admin users to allocate a task to a user directly from the task detail screen.

This is useful for:
  * Assigning a newly created task
  * Reallocating a task to another engineer or staff
  * Quickly distributing workload from the mobile app without returning to desktop ERP

===== Step 1: Open the Task =====

  * Open the required task from the admin dashboard or task list
  * Go to the [[erp-manual:app:task:task-detail|Task Detail]] screen

===== Step 2: Check if Assign Action is Available =====

  * Look for the assign action at the top of the task detail screen
  * Look for the **Assign** action at the top of the Task Detail screen

This action is visible only when:
  * the user has the required task admin permission
  * the task document type allows assignment in that mobile flow

**Note**: If the assign action is not visible, the user may not have permission to assign that task.

===== Step 3: Search for the User =====

  * Tap the assign action
  * Start typing the user name

System uses the SarasX auto-complete flow and shows only the users allowed by the configured assignment role.

===== Step 4: Select the User =====

  * Choose the required user from the suggestion list
  * Confirm the assignment

System saves the task allocation from the mobile app.

===== Step 5: Review the Result =====

After successful assignment:
  * A success message is shown
  * Task Detail refreshes
  * The assigned user becomes visible in the task information

===== Important Points =====

  * Assignment is protected by permission and not only by screen visibility
  * The user list is controlled by SarasX role-based configuration
  * Task assignment done from mobile is saved to the main SarasX task allocation flow
